Bear Drilling and Cabling was founded in Houston in 2018 with a simple focus: running a reliable underground construction company without the common excuses, delays, or missed commitments. We started in the field with a single drill, learning firsthand how to get the job done right without cutting corners. Over the years, we grew our in-house fleet to four drill rigs to match various project specifications. We prioritize precision and job-site safety over rushing, and we treat our partners exactly the way we expect to be treated.

Our crews cut their teeth on demanding enterprise infrastructure, large-scale fiber builds, commercial electrical installations, municipal water main placements and TXDOT projects across the Gulf Coast and Greater Houston. Completing over 1,500 projects under strict engineering tolerances, tight deadlines, and heavy safety oversight taught us to operate with zero room for error. It also drove us to invest in compact, high-precision equipment and maintain the commercial insurance required on major commercial and municipal job sites.

We see a major gap in the Houston market: local electricians, plumbers, gas fitters, and irrigation contractors are constantly left hanging by unreliable drillers or forced into destructive, costly open trenching. We bring enterprise-grade directional drilling capabilities directly to trade contractors.

Today, whether we’re shooting a single driveway in a tight residential setting or pulling an 8" water main under a commercial roadway, our standard hasn't wavered since day one: show up on schedule, drill to plan, and stand behind every foot of pipe we put in the ground.
